---------------------------------

The installation and configuration of the Joey PC software is a
relatively simple procedure that can be divided into two simple
operations. The operations are

    1. Installation of the Joey software.
    2. Installation of the USB -> Serial device driver.

Both operations are discussed in detail below.

1. Installation of the Joey software.
-----------------------------------------

1. Insert the Joey software CD into your computer.

2. The setup process should start automatically via the autorun.inf
file. If the setup/installation does not start automatically
within 10 to 15 seconds, perform one of the following two operations

        a. Open Windows Explorer, navigation to your CD ROM drive and
double click on the Joeysetup_verX.X.X.exe file.

        b. Click Start/Run and enter d:\Joeysetup_verX.X.X.exe where d is
the drive identifier on the PC you are installing the
           software.

3. Follow the installation instructions carefully. YOu will be prompted
to enter the location where you want to install the software and the
location of where to store any icons. If you an unsure of the
locations it is suggested that you accept the defaults that are
    suggested by the setup program.

4. The software should now install properly.

5. At the end of the installation procedure you will be prompted to
reboot the computer. The computer must be rebooted before the
    Joey software should be executed.

2. Installation of the USB -> Serial device driver.
---------------------------------------------------

Refer to the documents in the folder D:\Manual for detailed help
regarding the installation of the USB cable. Further information
is listed below.

Please ensure that the cable/dongle is not connected to any TAG-A2
    units at this moment.

    activate the New Hardware Wizard.

3. Choose the option "Install from a list or specific location "
    (Advanced)". Select the next option.

the path d:\drivers where d is the drive identifier on the PC
you are installing the software in the "nclude this location in
the search location" via the BROWSE button.

5. If the computer you are using has the Windows XP operating system
installed and you receive a warning similar to "The software you
are installing has not passed the Windows logo testing to verify
its compatibility with Windows XP" select the "Continue Anyway"
    option.

6. A confirmation screen should be given to indicate that the driver
    has been installed correctly.

7. The Joey PC software should now be fully installed and ready
    for operation.
